gee, does anyone know what happened to the headpin?

I was hoping someone could help me answer that question...'cause I know I'm at a loss to answer it! I subbed at Roll-A-Way Tuesday night, hoping I could just hang with the 4 guys I was bowling with and not embarass myself. Nope, not even close. I committed so many foot fouls last night, I lost count. I don't understand how it happened, but it did. I couldn't keep the ball in the center of the lane to save my life, either. It was really a nightmare, and I truly feel as though I embarassed myself. Thankfully, I don't have to show my face up there for awhile...and the next time I do drive into the hills, it will be to Monson.

Unfortunately, the inability to hit the headpin carried over to today in Springfield, too. Started out with a nice 115 game, but couldn't crack 95 for the next two. So, in closing, the last two days of bowling SUCKED! Wish me luck Friday!

I took some time off from the website development tonight to take my son to Constitution Plaza to see the Christmas lights. I used to walk through this display many years ago after finishing work on game nights (I worked for the Hartford Whalers). It was always a nice finish to the evening. My son loved it...running around looking at the lights, listening to stories about "the old days" (man, I never thought I'd be telling stories like that), looking at interesting landmarks with me (such as the Phoenix building...the only 2 sided building in the world). A fantastic evening.

Look for several more houses to be posted in the coming days...and a couple of old favorites updated. And get those digital cameras clicking! I'm sure many a bowler will be getting a new camera for Christmas...what better way to put it to use than to take pictures of the house in which you bowl!
