Geez, you'd think they'd try to win...
Well, you'd have thought that they'd have at least tried to win tonight, eh? My team went down like the Washington Senators did year after year. Without a fight! Personally, I had a decent 331 evening, but the rest of my team decided winning the class championship wasn't worth their time, and really didn't try a bit. Oh well, it was my very last night as a league bowler at Airway Lanes, so that suits me just fine. Taking high average, triple and single in my class makes me very happy...especially as a rookie. On to Roll-A-Way Lanes!
On another note, I do have a bit of a problem I'd like to share with the community. In an average day, I get somewhere around 40-50 emails from bowlers, most of them very nice...even when they're critical of something I've done and/or said. Trust me, I am quite fine with constructive criticism...it's what has helped to make this website great. In fact, many of you have given me some HTML tips, some suggestions on how to arrange the site, etc. And we've put most of them into play...quite successfully.
However, I'm going to ask all of you to do me a favor. If you're going to disagree with me, please do so in a manner that is positive and appropriate. Do not send me email that contains profanity laced tirades directed toward me or anyone I know. For some reason, I received a couple of those today, and it's highly unsettling to have to hide my email from my son and/or future wife when either of them walk into the room. Further, I'm going to ask that if you're upset with me for something I've done, said or been party to, please read your email to me carefully prior to sending it. Re-reading your angry words might just shock you. And that is not to say that you cannot be angry with me...saying that is negating your feelings. But please...consider the consequences of sending a profanity laced email or a threatening letter before you send it!
Otherwise, enjoy the site and all that it has to offer! There's more to come, that's for sure. More houses, more interviews, just plain more! Now go bowl some strikes!
