some ideas from bowlers
So, our first couple of ideas have rolled in, and they're both pretty good ones!
"How about allowing bowlers in non-affiliated houses to pay a special entry fee to enter? An MBA membership for the individual, perhaps? This would be a natural way of adding more bowlers. "
This is a great idea, and one that I'd forgotten about! Why not allow ALL bowlers in? The additional fee helps the MBA with a few extra bucks that I know they'd be happy to have. And it gets more bowlers in the competition. Wow, what a concept...everyone wins!
"...maybe the CFD or Comcast crew could broadcast the final match so everyone across New England could see it, not just those with the public access channels."
Another fabulous idea. If Comcast or whatever network broadcasts Candlepins for Dollars gets behind this, it's added revenue for both. Imagine Bart getting Dunkin' Donuts or Toyota to throw down a few bucks in the prize funds! Or maybe Comcast would do the same thing? That would make for some exciting stuff. And the event could be broadcast in the summer months, when Comcast's show is in repeats...giving bowlers something new to watch for the summer. Granted this would be extra work for Dan and John or Frank and Mike during the good weather season, but maybe other personalities could get in on it? Heck, I'd do it...and I'm cheap. Feed me well and give me gas money, and I just might be there! HA!
Great stuff...keep 'em coming!
