my anonymous friend has returned, although he's not quite anonymous anymore!

A quote from my inbox today...which just so happens to be cut and paste from the official ICBA Candlepin rulebook

"GENERAL PLAYING RULES 5. NON-BOWLERS IN BOWLING AREA: In a match or league game, no spectators or substitutes other than scorers will be allowed in the bowling area. League Regulations 7) NON-BOWLERS IN BOWLING AREA. In a match or league game, no spectators other than scorers will be allowed in the bowling area."

Now I can understand why this was sent to me, based on my comments regarding Wednesday evening's festivities.  However, I have an inalienable right to feel safe wherever I go...that includes feeling safe from unnecessary, unwarranted inflammatory comments/taunting, etc. (not to mention the possibility of a physical issue...one never knows, of course). Therefore, my fiancĂ©e was invited into the scoring area. That's absolutely not an unacceptible happenstance...and I'd do it again. If necessary, I'll plant her rather nice looking ass at the scorer's table and have her push the buttons...making it perfectly legal for all those involved.

Please, don't split hairs with me. I'm far too intelligent and way too busy to be debating with someone who is too timid to show his face. Like I said, we're of the opinion that if small minded people absolutely need to exert a process of thought such as that, we'll allow it, let go and move on. We don't have egos that need to be boosted in that manner...we're confident in ourselves.

Then again, even as poorly as I bowled...I did beat him in raw pinfall by about 20 pins. Sheesh!
