I find the latest controversy to hit the candlepin news wire to be of great interest to me. It seems, on some level, that a disgruntled bowler is leveling some serious charges against a well known center in W. MA. Said center's owner has been in touch with me in regards to obtaining said disgruntled bowler's identity, and I've deftly ignored his queries...and will continue to do so. Had that person treated me with the respect I deserve (simply for being a human being), I'd reply.
It is important to note that I am not the originator of said posts. As you can see, based upon the IP #, that the posts originated outside of my home area:

However, I will admit to being impressed with his pluckiness as he's appeared again with his latest missive, which mysteriously vanished only seconds later...
"I've noticed my previous thread has been removed. I just thought that everyone should know what is going on. You are the people that run and regulate candlepin bowling.
I posted that on a night when all 14 lanes were being used for league play, one pair was given juice or "Al's special sauce" or what ever he calls it and the rest were not. This is not rumer it is fact and was proven. Not only that, the total pinfall on those 2 lanes was on average, 178 pins higher than the rest of the league. That is a big number. Also the Striper or orange pin jackpot was also hit on those lanes.
What course of action do league bowlers have when the house creates an uneven playing field? The only leverage would be to say we will not bowl there anymore, but that as everyone knows will not happen.
I'm not posting this to trash Roll A Way, I love the place and I love the Family that runs it. The only way I feel it will stop is if everyone knows it's going on. candlepin, much like golf, is a gentlemans sport. we need to protect the integrity of the Game and make sure it is fair and fun for all bowlers.

Wow, 178 pins higher than the rest of the league? That's going to raise havoc with averages and handicaps, isn't it? And it's certainly going to raise some eyebrows and get some people talking!
Nevertheless, please...spare me. I don't have time to play games with people like this. While I'll be watching, I won't be participating. Besides, it's more fun to watch people dig their own graves, than to do it for them.
