April's here!

So, we’re into that time of year that gets very busy for a school teacher. Once April hits, a teacher is sort of under the gun to get as much curriculum done as possible. It’s a necessary fact of life in teaching, but we all know it’s coming. We just keep plugging and get it done as efficiently and detailed as possible. Consequently, it makes us busy…and sometimes ghosts to our families! Less than 50 days of school left! You know what that means…SUMMER VACATION!

In fantastic news, baseball is finally back and the Rock Cats begin their season, at home, Thursday. I believe I will be in attendance to wind up a huge crowd of fans…hopefully leading us on to victory. To say I’m excited about making my return to my customary spot at NBS is an understatement! I’ve been hearing from countless numbers of fans who are geeked up about the new season…and they’re all hopeful we’ll have a playoff contender this year. It should be an exciting season, that’s for sure. And I’ll be blogging about it as we go along.

Wedding plans, as does bowling, goes along quite well. We’re 99% finished with the festivities for the day but last minute details will begin to show their ugly faces soon. Due to an email threat, we are worried about security for that day, and will be taking steps to ensure our safety as well as the safety of our guests. Thankfully, we have law enforcement in our family so it’ll be an easy and seamless thing to do during the day. But we want those that we love to know they’re secure…not to mention our own peace of mind. Only 12 weeks or so before the big day, too!

As I said, bowling goes well. My Wednesday night team has rocketed to challenge for winning a round…here’s hoping we can take it this week. And Thursdays are going well, too. With my average taking the jump into that area we’d all like to stay within (112-115), I’m helping teams even more than before…which is a great thing. Too bad the season is close to an end. The only debate that remains is the summer league participation…once a week isn’t a strain, and I’d love to do it.

There’s really not much else that’s new on this end of the stratosphere. Watch for us to invade Woburn this Sunday for the taping. I hear an old friend of CG, “Urbie,” is in da house for a show. That’s great! It’ll be good to get back into that center as it’s one of our favorites. We enjoy the crowd and the hospitality, that’s for sure.

Don’t forget to check CG for tournament flyers and other information. We’re seeing a big jump in the number of centers who want us to promote their tourneys. So if you want some free pub, get in touch. A smile and a thank you is all we charge!
