finally found

So, as many of you know, I believe the only reason Yankee Candle was a success is my father's blessing at the groundbreaking for the original South Deerfield store in 1983. I'm telling you...my father's blessing that day was a really good one. And over the past few years, I've been sort of knocking on doors at the company, trying to find pictures of my parents from their time there. Yesterday, I was allowed to go through what must have been hundreds of cardboard boxes in an effort to find those pictures...and I did indeed find them. In fact, I found 2 pictures of my father taken September 8, 1983...the day of the groundbreaking ceremony. And one of them is above. The fellow on the left is really just some nobody (ha)...his name is Michael Kittredge. He's the founder of Yankee Candle. In future bloggings, I'll be posting pictures of my mom, too!
