holy cow!

The response to the posting of the "Steeples" ad has been fairly strong. Looks as though this blog is still fairly well read, no? Yes!

In the email deluge, I've noticed where many of you have mentioned other television ads the UCC aired. I'm surprised by the response as those other advertisements were controversial and short lived campaigns. In fact, one of the ads was banned by many broadcast networks, including NBC, ABC, CBS, etc. I do know of those ads. Next time I have a few moments, I'll link them here so they may be viewed.

Now don't worry, I'm not turning this blog into my father's pulpit. I just find the denomination's return to television advertisement to be pretty cool.

In other news, the first few weeks of the new bowling season have gone very well. My Thursday team took all points last week, with me throwing a nice 347 on two very tough lanes. My Wednesday team...well, we've got some work to do! But my average is great!

We've also been confirmed by our bank...so the CG home offices will be moving sometime in the next 8 weeks. That doesn't mean we'll be "disrupting service" to all of you, but we will be off line for awhile. But I'll let you know when that is scheduled to go down.
