Yes, you read that right. Our long, national nightmare is over. As of this afternoon, I have a verbal agreement with Gateway Learning Academy of New Haven, CT to teach in a new charter high school in town. The school will service youths from the area who are at-risk and/or involved with the court system (either in process or recently discharged). It's a permanent, contract position that makes me a teacher again...one with a greater purpose than just making sure kids know how to work in mathematics.

Therefore, I'd like to thank all of you guys who have given me the support and good vibes I've needed over the past year. Fast Al, Danny, Andrew, Bart, Mary-Lynne, Ron (R.I.P.), Evelyn, Steve...the list could go on for many lines. I would not have been able to get along without all of you. And that goes without saying for my future bride, Kathleen and my fantastic son, Matthew (the budding candlepin bowler that he is!).
