thank you!

First off, I'd like to thank everyone for the well-wishes. My inbox has been overflowing with congratulatory emails. And I appreciate it. This hiring was quite unexpected (as I went into this interview completely blind. But the more educated I became about the program, the more I wanted to get involved). But talk about the fickle finger of fate...wow. Nevertheless, I'm in your gratitude.

In between shopping trips with my future bride, I've been updating CG to include maps. Each center's page now includes a map, linked to MSN. The service will provide turn by turn directions to each center. And as time goes along, I'd like to apply this service to the "Where to Bowl" page, too. It should make for a nice feature when completed. Please note, the look of each page may be in need of a little cleaning up, but I'll get to it--there's over 115 individual pages on the site, so it'll take some time!

A rumor has been floated, seemingly by my anonymous detractor, that the Comcast Candlepin Challenge show has been cancelled. In fact, said cloak and dagger fan claims that all of candlepin is dead. I find that notion and his accompanying rumor to be patently false. As the ‘Great And Powerful Oz’ once said to Dorothy, “Pay No Attention To The Man Behind The Curtain!” Honestly, we've seen this behavior before...so it's nothing new. But CG is proof enough that candlepin is certainly not dead, by any stretch of the imagination. And I have absolute confirmation from the ICBA that the Challenge will go on as scheduled this year. So, I'll just wait for the Invisible Man to come out of hiding and challenge me to another debate. It's a shame that he/she isn't fully equipped to debate properly; I'd rather enjoy an intelligent dialogue with him/her...if this person actually had the guts to do so.

I actually got this in my email recently. And I thought it would be a nice way to end an inspirational post. This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror where you could read it daily. You may not realize it, but it's 100% true. Enjoy...

    1. There are at least 2 people in this world that you would die for.
    2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
    3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
    4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
    5. Every night, someone thinks about you before they go to sleep.
    6. You mean the world to someone.
    7. You are special and unique.
    8. Someone you don't even know exists loves you.
    9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
    10. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take another look.
