home cookin' does wonders for us...
A little home cookin' does wonders for our Rock Cats, that's for sure. We arrived Monday for a 3-game series vs. the CT Defenders, taking all 3 games. It was a great series for us, with big crowds and (for the most part) decent weather. Unfortunately, the good times ended yesterday. Trenton comes into town this weekend--with the best record in the league. While I'd like to be confident that we can take 3 of 4, or even sweep, I get nervous when they take the field.
Our franchise had the annual "Tip a Player" dinner last night. This is a night where the players come out to a local restaurant (always a sponsor of the team, of course) and act as "waiters," serving patrons and signing autographs, etc. It's a fun night, and the fans get to see the guys in a different light.
Only 4 more weeks of bowling this summer! I'd like to see my team get into contention for some good ol' cashola, but I'm not sure how we did last week. I prebowled...so I don't know where we sit. Hey, duty called...the Rock Cats needed me! I don't usually like to prebowl; it takes me out of the element where I have the most fun. But sometimes, it's necessary.
No movement on the job front. I still need all of you to send the good vibes my way. I've still got a month to track something...anything...down for the upcoming school year. And if you're a principal looking to fill an opening, I'm your man! Get in touch!
Not much else...enjoy the weather--until the storms come!
