geez, wish my glasses would come in!
After day one of teaching Catholic school, I ran right to my local optometrist to order a new pair of glasses. Presently, the ones on my fat head are held together (precariously, I might add) by repeated doses of Crazy Glue. Unfortunately, the darn things aren't in yet! Gosh, I hope they arrive soon; I'm not so sure I can get another week out of the ones I currently own.
I did, however, see that unfortunate accident on the football field in Buffalo yesterday. Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett took an awkward hit that resulted in what is being called a severe spinal injury that could leave him paralyzed. That's scary stuff, if you ask me. NBC wouldn't even show it during last night's pre-game show, and it's not even featured in the NFL's highlight package of the game at NFL.com. All I can think of is I hope that kid turns out to be okay.
Not much else going on here in Gene Pitney's hometown. Just waiting to get to Thursday for bowling night (which will hopefully be Wednesday, DANNY J.!
