never underestimate the power of synthetic lanes on your average...

Bowling upstairs at Funtime Lanes is mystifying, even if my sample size from which I'm drawing my opinion is only one week. But I find it to be a completely different game up there, as opposed to bowling on the real wood lanes in Ware. Unfortunately, I kept missing the pocket tonight, finishing with a meager 291. I'm encouraged by my teammates telling me that my ball works well there, and it'll come as soon as I have a few strings under my belt, but I'm discouraged by the fact that I'm told this is the FASTER end of the house! If this is the faster end, I wonder what I'd hit downstairs. Then again, maybe I don't want to know?

Nevertheless, I'll be going home tomorrow (Ware) for three strings with my favorite team. Hopefully a little "home cookin'" will do me some good.
