just about done!

Other than the updating of the links in the events calendar, the site is virtually fininshed. Thanks for all the well wishes and suggestions on updates. You'll noticed a streamlined index page (an almost unanimous suggestion), too. Thankfully, that's over!

We've just recently acquired video capability for the website. We've purchased a Samsung DVD Camcorder that will record and upload video to the 'net. And as we become familiar with its use, we plan on recording some events for display here at CG. Watch this space for more details!

In other website happenings, traffic has spiked again. Apparently there was a demand while we were away--the first reports show a 5% gain in hits over the course of the site's reappearance. The old *.com address, which is currently locked, is still garnering hits. But hopefully Google and Yahoo! will catch up and spider the new *.org address, updating everyone's links. But spread the word...we're back and bigger than ever!

A FANTASTIC DAY yesterday at the latest Comcast taping. I won't get into revealing the results as I know that's frowned upon, but suffice it to say there was some great bowling on display. And the house was packed, too! I met several website fans, and saw plenty of old friends, too. The next taping is January 6, 2008...so if you haven't yet seen this show live--do it next month! The festivities start at around 9 AM (or shortly after Trina arrives...LOL) and there's a Dunkin' Donuts right across the parking lot! You'll be glad you did it.

In other news, the big meeting with the representative from the Gershon Fox Room did not go off as planned on Saturday. The woman never even showed up to talk with us, which immediately crosses that venue off our list. If she can't be bothered to sit down with my future parents in law, then we can't be bothered with pursuing the topic any further. So it looks as though we'll be venue shopping again---back to the drawing board!

Nice weather, eh? I'm blogging early with our 2-hour delay this morning! But it looks as though the entire week could be "on and off ugly" with what could be a big storm predicted for Thursday. Thankfully, I drive 3 minutes to school each day, so the commute is far less worrisome for me. My future bride drives farther, but the roads in her district seem to be better maintained. If you're out there during one of these upcoming storms, be careful...don't worry about your league waiting for you in the bad weather! Just get there in one piece!

Got any Christmas shopping done? Nah...neither do I! LOL
