spring training? are you kidding me?
Wow, it's finally here...SPRING TRAINING! February vacation! And Daylight Savings Time is right around the corner (March 9). Could we be nearing the end of winter? Gosh, I hope so.
I usually don't mind winter. It's a necessary evil in New England, and we as residents get used to it and cope. But this year has been difficult for some reason. Possibly the difficulty has arisen in all the work of planning a wedding. Or perhaps the confusion surrounding learning a new set of rules and customs in a new school has added to the frustration of winter. Nevertheless, our perception is reality, and we here in the land of duckpin feel as though it's been a rough winter. And yesterday's snow/sleet and rain only compounded that idea. That was ugly!
For those interested in the WNECA tournament schedule, I'll be scanning and posting the brochure very soon. I know many will want the information soon!
Bowling goes well...the average has made a steady climb into that rareified air of 112+, which is a nice feeling. Watching the improvement in my game, and seeing how the pins fly with the adjustments that have been made is good for my ego (which many will tell you is too big already!). But it's nice to get better and finally think I might be able to compete, on some level, on a tour. Maybe next year, if things are still copasetic, I'll jump in. Even if I get my head handed to me, it'll be a nice experience to give it a go.
Otherwise, let's go Red Sox! See ya soon, everyone.
