workin' again

Yep, that's right. I'm working. I'm substitute teaching in Wethersfield. That brings me several things.

• Income
• Exposure in district (principals get to know me)
• Access to internal postings prior to them going public
• Practice teaching elementary school
• Time to practice for the PRAXIS (state board) exam in March

So, that’s a start. It seems I’ve made an impression with several principals already, and they’re requesting me as a sub when necessary. Hell, I’m booked until February vacation already…which is unusual. In fact, two principals have requested my credentials and resume, too. And that makes life easier for job hunting as my paperwork is already in the hands of administration.

Therefore, keep the good karma coming my way. It seems that karma has finally reached me. Let’s hope it translates into a job in the fall…Wethersfield’s contract is really good!
